Persian Language and Literature in the Department of Religious Studies at UCSB shows an Iranian Movie: The Song of Sparrows- Directed by Majid Majidi

Language: Persian, English subtitles

Story: Karim works at an ostrich farm until he is fired because one of the ostriches escaped. He finds a new job in Tehran, but he faces new problems in his life. The movie challenges us to see the power of hope. This film has some wonderful sceneries and some very touching humors.
