Amber Albert
About:
Amber Albert (she/her) is a Masters student in the department of religious studies. Her area of study is on American religions with a specialized focus on death rituals. Additionally, Amber’s research interests include the relationships between religion and gender, popular culture, politics, and new religious movements. Through studying religion from an interdisciplinary perspective, she is able to explore and examine what influences America’s culture of death.
Amber received her BA in Political Science and Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2024. During that time she studied political leaders and national conflict. She also composed her undergraduate thesis about unveiling the culture of death and dying in the United States.
