Announcing the Winners of Our Religious Studies Sticker Design Contest!
We are thrilled to share the winning entries from our recent sticker design contest! These beautiful designs were unveiled at our end-of-year ceremony—and now we’re excited to share them with our broader community here as well.
First Prize
Jin Pan (Graduate Student, Religious Studies)
Design: The Moon
"The waxing and waning of the moon hold rich religious meaning across traditions—from the sacred rhythms of time to astrological inspiration. To me, the moon represents both worldly and sacred knowledge—aligned with the very heart of our department’s mission."
-Jin Pan
Jin also incorporated UCSB’s blue and gold, tying her celestial theme to our coastal campus.
Honorable Mention
Lee Ellis (Undergraduate, Religious Studies)
Design: The Raccoon
"My designs were inspired by both the UCSB unofficial mascot and the religious nature of art. In my life, art and religion have crossed paths over and over—I find that the beauty of art can invoke a religious experience."
-Lee Ellis
Thank you to everyone who submitted their amazing artwork! Stay tuned—we’ll be turning these into stickers soon!
